Guru Geri in Portugal

In 1983 I was in Portugal for the first time when I hitchhiked with Barbara to visit some friends in Porto. We have been in Coimbra (beautiful city) at the Algave in Faro, in Lisbon and especially in Porto. The Port wine tasting was very pleasant but with consequences in the head.

• The next time I was in Lisbon in 1986 for two days, when I had to make a stopover on the way to Brazil. I looked at Lisbon from the historic tram.
• In 1996 I was invited to evaluate the country's nature conservation projects. I spent four days in Lisbon at Portugal's expense, looking at beautiful projects and earning good money. But it was a hard job.
